If you are legally present in Spain on any visa or document, including a tourist Schengen visa – you can directly apply for a three-year residence permit, which can later be renewed for an additional two years.
You can apply for a one-year visa at the Spanish consulate in your home country or country of residence. Upon your arrival in Spain, this visa can be converted into a three-year residence permit.
Scan all pages of your passport. For proof of entry, provide either a clear entry stamp if Spain was your first EU country or a declaration of entry if you entered from another EU country.
All applicants over 18 must submit a certificate of no criminal record from their country of citizenship or from countries where they have lived in the last 2 years. This document should have an apostille and be translated by a sworn translator.
Fill out and sign the government pre-approved form declaring no criminal record within the last five years.
Provide your employment contract, remote work permit, and company extract. The contract should be long-term, specify your position, income details, and include confirmation that your employer has been registered for over a year.
